Starlite Trailers was founded in 1978 in a hog barn by the late Bobby G. Pope and his wife, Ruby. Bobby and Marty, one of Bobby's sons and now manager of Starlite Trailers, began building trailers in their off time as a hobby and to make extra money. They actually built a 48' trailer in a 40' barn with doors on both ends. Marty says, "When God is in control, nothing is impossible." They have now outgrown that little 40' hog barn and now occupy several large buildings on a 5 acre lot. There is currently three generations of the Pope family at work in the Starlite Company. Ruby Pope is still the owner, Marty manages the business, and one of Marty's sons, Bobby D. Pope, is the assistant manager and free hands all of the pin striping.
Starlite trailers offers trailers for farmers, contractors and homeowners. As well as having a full service station for trailers and a retail shop that carries all parts for trailers since 1980. Knowing that trailers are an essential part of farming, construction and for your everyday homeowner, Starlite Trailers is looking forward to the future. The Pope family predicts a fourth generation of their family heading up Starlite Trailers within the next decade. You can expect Starlite trailers to work hard, treat people with fairness and hold fast to their faith as they have been doing since Bobby G. founded the company.
